well bulls, you sayd we needed to make a seperate topic for the rules.

uhm atm the rule i can come up with is no sk, or well no heavy sk or smthing.
thats something u gotta have cuz it sucks when you cant walk out of spawn.

uhm like no abusing or demote or smthing, well i guess you all would know this Smile

Thank you for the suggestions, I added them to the rules.
Although I want to keep the rules not too strict, some things just need to be said there for clarification.

Just to be clear as Ive seen some false complains today.
Heavy Sk is only on static spawn points ( Sp which can not be taken), attacking in Oasis at wall SP is being considered as a simple "retake attack". Whether it is being exploited just for easy kills ( not retaking it back ) is for consideration of the highest lvl online.

Agree. But to make it more fair i would suggest to increase spwan time to at least 10 seconds. Bulls what do you say?

I still have a backup the GENERAL RULES topic from the past.

@Bulls
If you want to have it, i can post it here or send it via pm.

I highly recommend, not to use every old rule.
In the old days, GIX had more than 200 members, which made it nececcary to have strict rules for all servers.

Besides the old rules topic, i got a backup of the old ADMIN BASIC topic (Admin FAQ).

i don't say it need to be to strict, but when you can't walk out the spawn.
people will leave if you let them do the sk.

have seen servers who got sk, people like it, the one's who cant walk out spawn hate it and leave at a point.

What are the rule for a new recruit? When will he pass or fail?
Thinking off kill / death ratio, only light guns........etc
Maybe a new Topic about recruitment? Where everybody can read the rules.....

I would say, dont look too much at his/her skills... He should fit to this clan. I know thats quite difficult to decide, but thats why the level 4 is considered as a trial time. English knowledge should be enough, to understand a bit.

But thats only my view... Bulls is owner, he should decide.

Well, it's basically exactly as Mohawk described it.
For one, if we're gonna look at skill, it's going to be really hard to get people into this clan.
Besides, I also prefer nice people to play together with.
So I'd say the trial to get into the clan, if people ask to be recruited:
Play with them (not even necessarily testing their skills) and talk with them.
If they're not acting badly/agressive or in some way negative, then I'd say: welcome to the clan.

Currently it's more about getting a nice group of people together, who can play together.
So go for that =]

I dont got suggestions for rules but i got for the server. I say fix more maps, In my ex clan H2o it was a very active clan and one of the thing that maked them active was that they had alot of maps. Some populair maps they had was Adlernest, Frostbite, Ice, Supply- depot, sp_delivery, Bremen, Braundorf. These were the populair ones so i think u should fix them in and more players will join our server thats for sure

For one, the map vote is fixed quicker than the maps =]
But I'll look into it! at least into the maps you suggested.
I have to admit, I've been out of ET for a while, so I don't fully know what's currently popular.
Suggestions like these help a whole load, so keep them coming! (although, too many maps will kinda flood the server) But with these, it should be possible.
The only thing we have to check then is whether we want/can have bots with those maps.
But alright, I'm going to look into it either way =]

So, so far, thanks for all the suggestions!

And I'm going to look whether I can make a normal suggestions topic, for all your suggestions to be grouped in (and see whether I can move the current suggestion posts there.)

I'll get back to you guys on some other things that have been mentioned here in the other topic, so see you guys there!

1 rule u might consider for admins is to vote first before making changes to game eg shuffle xp or sniperwar enable/disable etc
